I used your samples to quickly try the new TSE x50. Just basically loaded it with an impulse (only touched the gain of it) then a little bit of eq treatment and thats all. Oh, I tried to leave 2 tracks DI with just hard shitty distortion on it and mix with the one that are on TSEX50, seemed to work lol

PS: I'm a NOOB at mixing etc.

the guitars sounds to me like through a phone or so...there is something wrong with them


I did a workaround on my drums. Espacially kick+snare. Are they now "processed " enough?

Quad tracked, One hard left and one hard right. Another panned 50% L and R.

Engl and Soldano on L, 5150 and Tripple Rectifier on R.

General EQ and compression. Tada!

Decided to reamp all 4 DI's and each one is using the 2mic setup on/off axis, so there are 8 guitar tracks going on...

Guitars: HK Triamp MKII
Bass: SansAmp plugin, just using the Crunch Bass settings
Drums: SD2.0

Mics: 421D for on axis, SM57 for Off axis
Mic Pres respectively: SCA A12 and N72

Signal: Digi 003 rack --> Radial DI (wired in reverse) --> Amp

I've seen/heard Ola's amp review videos on the HT-5, but hearing this is definitely making me lean closer towards getting this!

Would you mind posting just the raw guitars recording by themselves instead of in this mix? (I'd like to hear how good the Blackstar sounds outside of the mix if possible. ) Thanks!

Did a mixtest myself, i tried to keep to the original while improving the things i did not like in the original mix, although i think i went a bit overboard with guitar clarity, they sound kinda harsh

And yes i played the bassline myself, i couldnt get the backingtrack to work for me

beefed up bassdrum, i underestimated the importance of the carrying bassdrum in this song, and i think it was a bad idea to rework the mix at this time of day (4am in austria)
