Nevermore Narcosynthesis DI's + Backing Tracks!

Excellent cover!!! I have a question- how come your D.I.'s blow away the tone I get using the same fx chain? What audio interface are you using? Sounds awesome compared to my stuff, ha.

Tried an alternating guitar tone:
Starts out with a straight into Marshall tone for 20 secs,
Then switches to High Gain with more midrange,
Back to Marshall sound, near the end.

Narcosynthesis

Marshall tone: Lepou Hybrit into Lecab 1 using the default impulses
High Gain: TSE X50/ReaVerb/lots of eq

Vocalist is awesome! Reminds me of Candlemass a little.

Some great tones here chaps!

Pickasso:

I wasn't even sure my DI's were all that great to be honest! I used a M-audio Profire as my interface.

I do notice this guitar/pickup combo has a fair "nasal" quality....I actually prefer its lead tone by a long shot but with a dip in the 800 area shit sounds much more fitting. Appreciate your kind words dude!

I'll have a new little DI reamp test thing for you guys soon....won't be a full song but it'll be enough to test out your tones. Different guitar with an 81 in it this time ;)

Heres mine.

Did this quickly. Roughly 15 minutes spent mixing.
Guitars are x50 into Gods Cab impulses.
Going to post a version with reamped guitars when I get the time.
Mixed on my AKG K-271 headphones.

EDIT:

Heres a better version with real guitars, added drum samples and better mixing/mastering.

There is some awesome fucking tones in this thread! cheers Jaymz for the DI's and backing track, you rock!
