Where did I say my opinion was better than his? Find better things to do with your time. I simply stated that how long he's been listening to the band does not mater, which isn't an opinion, it's a fucking fact. I then went on to say I would enjoy another AYDY album. So

man i hate all this waiting especially after its done, i mean i get that they have to do prep work for the album to be released but it shouldnt take 5 months to get all that stuff done.

I'm pretty sure i made that same point 10 months ago,i dont understand why it has to be 5 more months.Then again it was the same time period for Dark Tranquillitys "Fiction" this year. I'm fairly confident "Fiction" was alot more worth the wait than "Blooddrunk" will be.

So does anyone else have very low expectations from COB on this new album? Idk man, i got a bad feeling. COB peaked at Follow The Reaper,everything since then has been significantly worse. Losing Alexander had a huge effect on the bands chemistry, and im not sure if they ever can regain the chemistry they once had. We'll see what unfolds,but i wont be surprised if the new album is a rehash of AYDY in a prettier package.Maybe there will be more solos,and the riffs will remain the same or slightly better. What the fuck would that do for anyone? The likelyhood of them creating anything better or as good as HCDR by this point is a long shot. Im not sayin "I demand the SW madness". Im just sayin that the new album more than likely will not be as good as everone hopes.

Let's put it this way: I've started expecting too much from the album already myself and I realize that. But then again, it shouldn't be too difficult for them to make it better than HCDR.

don't get me wrong,I like Angels Don't Kill,Everytime I Die,Punch Me I Bleed,etc etc.it's not that for me a ''slow'' song means emo,my point of view it's that the whole album shouldn't be made for making you cry.emotions aren't necessarily crying.anger is an emotion,frustration is too,as well as happiness.it's not all about crying.

Ok I really need to sort this out. Nr. 1 thing was when I said HCDR isn't very emotional/atmospheric. Someone said it is u asshole!! to which I replied does it really make you cry?

What I mean is... well, SNBN is an emotional/atmospheric headbanger.
The sound world in it is not really dry as Sahara.

Some things are difficult to explain with words, you understand what I mean but just play fun because it can't be explained. Atmosphere is more for FtR with the keyboards and everything. But I think even AYDY could have been atmospheric if they chose better tones and mixed it better.

Calculations. Anything released in winter/around Xmas apparently doesn't sell so well. April DOES seem a bit exaggerated to me too though.

4 months is too much. By the time it comes out, the first done songs are 1.5 years old.

True,put it depends on the album and the band. COB is not a band meant for crying too. Angels Dont Kill is def cob's most emotional song,so its kinda an exception.But if its a band like Sonata Arctica,then crying can be accepted because they write beautiful ballads.
