Already... they've got the routine down, I feel like there's not much crazy going on in studio. Well, doing all atmospheric stuff doesn't really matter anymore when recording (except for vocals), cos that stuff depends on the creation process (inspiration, coming up with ideas, jamming sessions).

Folks, what are your genuine expectations from this album, 1 to 10?. Mine's 6.5. If there's gonna be 1 very good song and 3 decent ones I'd be happy.

Mine are a 9/10 in all honesty. When RRF came out, I was a bit disappointed, but now it's still one of my favorite album (and Ugly is probably one of my all time favorite song). The album I like the least is Blooddrunk, and I still really enjoy it. So this can only be good for me

tbh COB would have to try very hard if they wanted to disappoint me. I'm really excited about this upcoming album. I think it's going to be really good and my expectations are p much 9/10. I'm not expecting it to absolutely murder me like Blooddrunk did (it's my favorite, so good I just got the cover tattooed) but I don't think they can do bad music.

Lots of things I hope it will be... like fast, dark, epic... raw riffing, haunting melodies...

Lots of things I fear it will be... like forced out / boring, cheesy vocals, not-death-metal...

All we know is the artwork is purple, and we've drawn conclusions from the tidbits of info that it would have shorter songs which would mean they're faster or tighter in musicality... which would be natural evolution, since the last album was immensely "spread out" on Bodom standards. So we're really missing the tight dark sounds with vile melodies, instead of slow, sluggish, down-tuned, stretched songs.

Yeah that demo had that instant diamond in the form of the emotional melody in the middle that emerged out of nowhere, and the main riff supporting those solos is epic. I love when they fake an ending only to surprise with the song's epic idea, and when repeating the best riff of a song behind the solos.

Filming a song video at the actual lake? For me it's kind of myth and art so it doesn't have to be in the lake Bodom, but it's exciting seeing the real scenery of the still unsolved homicide.

The clip playing in the car at :12 is definitely Alexi screaming, but I don't recognize it, so it must be from one of the demo songs they did earlier. The riffing sounds like Dimmu. It's fast, which is a good sign, and I love screaming over doublebass, there's some dramatic chords going on. Filming a song video at the actual lake? I knew it wasn't Alexi's screaming. Doesn't sound like him at all. At first I thought they might be doing some COBTV, but it might actually be the music video or something. How long after the recording is done do we usually get the music video?

Didn't they say in the live stream it's gonna be a painting?

I'm guessing they were shooting promo pics or something bc a music video would take longer.... Maybe the reaper and the cars will be there for some sort of an interesting scene instead of just the usual band pic background? Who knows, this ig story stuff sure is making me excited

The high scream sounded a lot like Alexi IMO, but the low ones before it sounded like someone else.

IIRC they said in the stream they were done with music videos that were other than old school "playing in a warehouse" type videos.
