I would love a music video that's something like they did with sixpounder. I get so many creepy ideas for photos and art from their music, it would be so nice to get something to accompany the music. There are so many creepy and cool things they could do in a video.
But I've been on a couple music videos and fuck that shit is so frustrating, you gotta be really excited about doing it to be able to deal with all the repeatings and waiting and shit

Yes they did say it would be a painting. Yes they did say they were done with music videos other than just the band playing.

I'm really hyped for this album honestly. The few pictures and Insta stories the band shared really made me feel like they've taken interest again in what they're doing. Which can only be a good thing. Because honestly, I don't really care about the direction this album will take as long as it's made with passion. A thing Alexi's been lacking recently.

That video looks sick but you guys are crazy if you think this isn't gonna be another modern sounding COB album. Not that it's a bad thing, per say. I just one want or two songs that are great the entire way through, because we haven't gotten that from COB since not my funeral IMO. HOB and IWC had some great moments but every song had sections that made me press skip.

Seems they're going back on their word about warehouse music videos I don't really mind though if it's not completely ridiculous.

I don't think anyone here is expecting anything magical after how IWC turned out. If I wanted to sound depressing I'd say the following: Halo of Blood is the only decent album they've made in ten years, on their standards and potential. IWC was underperformance, snorefest. RRF was murder of atmosphere. With this album I just hope it's fast and they'd try to squeeze more musicality into lesser time. It'll probably not have many diamonds, but speed would give it at least energy (although that alone is not a ticket to good songs). Purple artwork and Knuckleduster remake are exciting too. Of course there's the possibility they'd found some thirst for old salt after the Something Wild tour. But it's exciting to maintain hope: maybe they'll turn up with a dark and menacing album with heaps of epicness... one can dream.

Alexi has green atmosphere light in the vocal mancave. Last time he had pink.

There's no more updates so I wonder did Alexi finish his guitars before doing vocals? And they left keyboards and the solos after vocals this time?

I think they said it'd be lead guitars and keys before. So this would mean that they already finished it (which is also doable in such a short time if they rehearsed well before).

It's gonna take until midsummer till we see the artwork. They're holding back everything this time except "purple artwork" and "11 songs."

Just saying, but we got the Morrigan song on July 10 while the album was due to October 22. That's 3,5 in advance for the single. If we expect this new lbum to be released in September, it could mean that we get the single next month =)

I don’t think we’ll get a single next month. They’re doing the rough recordings right now aren’t they? No way they can re-record and mix and master everything by next month for a single.

I was kinda excited at all the updates we were getting before but they’ve gone dark for a bit now. Let’s hear some riffs!

I think they're actually recording in studio now. And look at Ghost. They were in left studio by the end of February and we got a single mid-April. So if CoB are doing the vocals now, it's possible they'll be done with the studio by the end of the week and then we can expect a month an a half until the first single.
At least that's what I think. ^^

That would probably mean they're recording solos now. I'd imagine that's the last thing you do if you've already done vocals.
