New Amorphis

Has anybody heard 'Eclipse'? I read some reviews which told it's better than their former album...

I have listened to it numerous times and it really does have some excellent tracks. I recommend atleast checking it out if you like their older material.

The growling vocals are excellent this time around.

Better vocals than the last guy. I enjoy the music & vocals more than the last couple amorphis albums. I'm not really sure what the band was thinking before to be honest. The new vocalist is not goofy at all.

Note* Tales From A Thousand Lakes will always rule most albums.

I like Elegy.

I thought Elegy was cool(not classic Amorphis). After that I can't tolerate the vocalist. He's not to bad on Elegy. His accent sounds weird to me.

The vocals on Far From the Sun were definitely lacking. That, and they took songs that only needed to be 3-4 minutes and stretched them to 4-5:30. Also, for some reason the album included five "bonus tracks" upon its initial release, which makes no sense.

Even if Eclipse is much better than the previous, I probably won't check it out.

Eclipse is absolutely amazing and since I bought it last Friday I haven't been listening to anything else. I'm going to get shot for this, but I like it a lot more than Tales.

mmm for me AMORPHIS died after "Elegy" (which is their best album so far)... I'm not really interested in "Eclipse" because "Far From The Sun" was horrible, not only for being mellow but bacause it was rather unispired...

Does "Eclipse" follow the same musical line???
