New BTBAM album?

between the buried and me.

i like "colors" also, but "the silent circus" and "alaska" are SO epic.
Only "informal gluttony" and "sun of nothing" are as good as the sings on the old albums.. i hope they record a new album soon.

listen to "ad a dglgmut" (album: the silenct circus), it's the best song i've ever ever heard <3

Love Alaska, but Colors sounds so contrived at points. It's like, "Hey, lets throw in a chicken pickin part right here to be more progressive!"

One of my top 5 favs easily. Can't wait to hear the new one.
The way they transition from one style to the next is pure genius. Not at all random or contrived IMHO.

joeritson: Toowoomba eh? My home town.

My bands singer heard the cd a week or so ago since he plays in a band with Dustie and Blake. He said it was quite good, but pretty different. Probably just taking what they did with "Colors" and pushing the prog button even more, which I am totally down with.

@bloodjin
=o you're in a band with adam cody? So you know dustie and blake personally?

Yeah Adam is our vocalist and yeah we have all known the BTBAM guys for quite a while. I know Dustie and Blake more so than the rest but I do know the others. Tommy doesn't live in NC anymore so we don't really see him much.

Yeah totally. I understand for sure. Either way if you enjoy the prog stuff the most that they do, then I am guessing this album will be a treat.

Colors was my favorite album of 2007, period. I cannot wait for the new album.
Also, anyone seen Dusties new custom built PRS guitar? It is absolutely gorgeous.

Honestly, I like his Ibanez's way better. But thats just personal preference.

Interesting thing though about the new record is they used Petrucci's presets for the new cd. I don't know exactly how all that works bc Adam didnt go into detail with Dustie about it, but Dustie said something along the lines of he emailed John and John sent him all of his settings I guess and they used those. Must be cool to be able to do stuff like that.
