New CD's that you have gotten recently

FYE:
Dethklok - Dethalbum III
The Sword - Apocryphon (might be album of the year)

Best Buy:
Kamelot - Silverthorn (How Best Buy had this and not FYE I have no clue)
Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Psychedelic Pill

As a side not to Best Buy, I found it very interesting they had 4 copies of the new My Dying Bride. Not a band I would've thought they'd have. I actually ordered it via Amazon, so I skipped out on it.

Come to think of it, the last two My Dying Bride releases I got from Best Buy.

How is Kamelot? Once Kahn left, my giveadamn broke on those guys.

I assume your opinion is biased given their new guy is a Prog Power alumni and all, but seriously.
How is it?

New Kamelot is pretty good. It's at least as good as their last two, and if Khan's absence is the only thing holding you back, it takes all of one song to put those worries to rest. Honestly, most of the time I forgot that it wasn't Khan singing.

Yeah I'm not biased when it comes to Progpower bands. I know you think I am, but I've never shied away from stating bands I hate like Circus Maximus and Iron Savior, amongst others.

Also, I didn't go the year for Seventh Wonder and just find them to be okay, so not coming in biased in terms of the new guy. However, at the same time, I never was a huge Khan fanboy. So far, I've only listened to the first few tracks. Sounds pretty good so far. Definitely better than their last. I'll agree with Justin though that there isn't much of a sound difference.

Oddly enough, Circus Maximus and Iron Savior both put out really impressive albums this year.

And I was there when Seventh Wonder played. They're good enough, but I really don't get the utter worship that band gets from the forum.

Well, that's because Obsession were not very good at the fest.
They were not rehearsed, and not headliner worthy.
Sorry, but that's my opinion and I won't remain quiet on that one.
They all seemed like nice dudes and all, and I do like their older material, esp Scarred for Life.

The new material sounds good.

As for Kamelot, I am very cautious.
No one outside of the PP community really seems to give a damn about them anymore.
And those within who do blow their whistle, and let's face it, 50% if not more do so because they are afraid to not do so.
