New CD's that you have gotten recently

@ Yoda - I am not going to lie. I dont think I even ever heard of Summoning but I am extremely unknowledgable of Black Metal.

They are pretty good. I have two of their CD's. Not something you listen to every day. But solid stuff.

Summoning is a goddamn fantastic band. My favorite material of theirs barely even counts as 'black metal'. Well worth a listen. Check out "Oath Bound".

Its actually funny. Every now and then I will look up a band like them, or Arch Enemy, or the Haunted, etc on Metal Archives and realize they each have albums I seriously didnt even know existed.

Or Summoning! I used to love those guys in the late 90s, but stopped paying any attention to what they were doing after Stronghold (I vaguely remember Let Mortal Heroes... coming out but that's it since then). Funny to see them come up here.

yeah...haven't thought of them in years....got into them and stuff like Falkenbach, Nokturnal Mortem, and stuff like that at the same time...the more epic style black metal. Got old fast though.

That Summoning flag looks cool as hell. I love the first two albums, wasn't into the other ones I heard.

Summoning definitely aren't a band that people get into instantly. I think I listened to Minas Morgul and Dol Guldur about 10 times before everything stared to click with the band. You kinda need an appreciation of high fantasy and Lord of the Rings as well, but it's not really necessary. Super cheesy symphonic black metal. I fucking love it.

Queen of the Black Coast is a fucking jam. When I saw the Road in Wichita (i like to brag) they played Cage of Mirrors and Queen of the Black Coast live. My first time hearing both songs as well. Awesome. /endbrag
