Check out the song 'You've Seen the Butcher'.
Many of you may know that I swing the the nuts of these guys. The stuff I've heard so far from their upcoming release Diamond Eyes is by far their best work since White Pony, and its about time as far as I'm concerned. I can already guess that many of you will hate the guitar tone, but this tone could be one of the best I've heard in a long time. It definitely has that scooped Marshall 1960 tone, but I'm going to guess that Stephan used the Celestion G12K-100, which from what I've heard sounds a lot like a beefed up T75. I absolutely love that hollow, old school sound that many of you hate! I dig the hell out the fact that you can hear the guitar amp noise in the background on the intro, too.
The compression on the drums may be one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. TASTY. Can't wait for the album release.

Oh yeah, I also read on Wikipedia that they recorded this all to tape and did not use Pro Tools or any other DAW.
