New DT DVD

So how did he damaged his vocal cords ? I don't think food poisoning could cause such a thing. Cause, you know man, he must have drink acid or something, it is not that easy. I think, through the years, he forced his vocal cords too much. He used his voice the wrong way may be. That could be the reason

No, he got food poisoning in Cuba from eating some bad pork, and vomitted so hard that it tore one or more vocal chords. He saw several specialists about it who said that it would just take time to recover (alot of time).

Plus, he kept singing even WITH the damaged vocal chords. That certainly explains why many people who caught DT on the FII tour may have been dissapointed. I'm pretty sure he got started doing vocal lessons again to rehab his voice after that.

Also, it seems to me that too many people go to DT shows expecting James to be the same James he was in the early 90's. So I suppose if you go into the show with that in mind, you are bound to be let down. Just seems like some people can't deal with change.

And speaking of change, whoever said Mike and Jordan are the only one's even putting on a show is wrong. In fact, on this last tour, I have noticed Myung getting MUCH more involved than any other tour. Maybe this is something the rest of the band talked with him about, I don't know. But he was much more animated, which was cool to see.

Yeah, he was all over the place when I saw them.

So, it's not correct unless I happen to know more than you?

It's not falsetto, and that is very audibly obvious. Any schmuck can hit that note using falsetto.

Which i know is very rare people can make that sound with chest support. And with very rare i mean classically trained opera singers.

Ok...I saw them In Jersey and im gonna be at the NY show....THE SETLIST PWNS 1|\|f1|\|473 n00bs...I cant imagine wut they'll do for the show....

:D! Amazing.

Pretty sweet ass show man. I was there somewhere near the back and was having a blast. A few minor technical difficulties: one time JP's guitar was lacking for a verse or two, and unfortunately that orchestra coudn't be heard very well when the band got louder, but when you did hear it it was majestic, a great layer to add to the music. They lacked a few of my faves, but they also played some awesome tunes I wasn't quite expecting: Innocense Faded and all of Six Degrees. All in all, I'll have to echo the fellow users hear who saw previous shows: a really great show, but not quite awe-inspiring.

I think 'The answer lies within' was in the second set aswell, after 'Vacant'.

God, coming here feels like coming home from a long trip, just to find that everything's different. I feel like a new man after Saturday.

The entire second set was played with an orchestra. Do you know what Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance sounds like with an actual Orchestra in the background? I almost orgasm'd.
