Hey guys, don't know if you care but I just put up the first track of Feareds upcoming Rejects album on Youtube. Mastered by our man Ermin!
Check it out and tell me what you think!

Cheers

I mentioned this on facebook, but will do on here as well...
overall i like the mix, but the overheads sound a bit too loud on my laptop speakers -- it's especially noticeable since there isn't as much low end on these speakers. It's very distracting, imo. Just something to consider that not everyone will be listening on high end Adams or something. ;) lolol

Other than that, really diggin the track. I loved the original, so it's nice to hear it re-recorded with better production of course! Hopefully you make it somewhat affordable for us here in the states so that we're not graped by the postman. :)

I always thought "titletrack" means that the title of the track = title of the album?

Dunno if you also want mix opinions:
Sounds pretty nice, guitarsound is unusal for you (just read the homepage and it says that greg reamped them so that kinda explains it ), bass sounds very cool.
Really like the snare and the toms, not huge on the kick.
Some vocals sound a bit "small", others sounds great.

Song is great as always...think I'll have to check the stems out again, the verseriff is my fav riff of yours.
Cool work man, really sounds like a "mix" and not like an amptest or something like that

I agree. Even through my monitors, the china, or whatever that cymbal is that's all through the riff at 1:03 is insanely loud compared to the rest of the cymbals.

Overall, I think it sounds pretty cool, though. I don't really dig the guitar tone on the chugs, but that's personal taste there. I understand that's a tone people enjoy on 7/8 string guitars, but it just sounds hollow to me. Almost undergained on the main riffs, similar to a distorted bass.

hmmm.......... not bad but not up to par with the quality of the song.

the gtr tone really bugs me. it's missing all the frequencies that I love in GTRs...

hmmmmmmmmmm....

you're playing is great of course, though!

I hate to agree with everyone but there is something strange going on with the guitars. I wish my ears were better so I could be more specific on what it is thats bothering me about it.

I really like the song though, the chorus is awesome. Definitely gonna get this album, we gotta take care of our fellow sneapsters :-)

How do you feel about the track Ola? Ultimately as long as you and the band are happy that's all that really matters.

Cheers

I didn't like the snare, sounds very dry and too quick & small for lack of a better term. But I'm just a big asshole so take that shit with a grain of salt.

the guitars sound, well, only way i can describe it, is wonky lol, dont know why. sounds almost like a doubler was used on the guitars with the lower frequencies taken out. cant really say too much though, cause my mix wasnt nearly as good as this when i tried it haha

Sounds kinda squashed and flat. Something's not right with the mids, and also the high mids are harsh. The vocals need dessing and the kick gets drowned in the mix on smaller speakers.

Oh man...tough crowd, if there ever was one.

No disrespect meant guys, I generally dig what all of the people involved come up with. Something went wrong here, though.

I really like the sound of the guitars, they have what I can only describe as the "ola attack". There abrasive in a good way, its a good stylistic thing, I would know its an Ola recording by doing a blind listen.

I do share what's been said about the drums, the kick and snare do seem quite buried in the mix.

Overall I like it!!

€40 for the limited edition - DVD with Feared Stems (audio files separated)

Ola: How many tracks are on this release and does the DVD include all stems for every song (or is anything left out?), pretty much in the same format as stems you've uploaded here before?
