Ola, how do you like your Saffire so far? Does it clip on instrument input when you dig in? (I've read some reviews about it having low maximum input level)
How would you compare Apogee and Saffire, Hi-Z nput-wise?

That only tends to be the USB models that have reported that problem ^ The Pro (Firewire) series are nothing but solid

no problems with my pro 24 and clipping and i have 3 guitars fitted with;

1 - emg 81
2 - sd distortion
3 - 500t

no clipping

i tune to standard e and normally have my pickups sitting around half way up.

no problemos with my pro 24 either. I have 2 guitars and a bass: emg81/85, stock Japanese Ibanez, stock Cort (cheap) for the bass guitar. No clipping. Drivers are stable like hell, they frequently release betas, etc.

I haven't tried the Instrument input on my 24DSP. Now I have the Axe Fx 2 to record DI and guitars so I will probably not try in a while.

I downloaded the vids a while ago but as usual its a pian in the ass cause i have to transfer it to my "recording setup" cause i wont listen on laptop speakers!

The bad news is i cant get out of bed since friday when i got my back injured in gym. (got better on sunday until i sneezed..)
So waiting anxiously to hear what you guys did, i bet with a team like that it should kill!
