BTW thanks for all the input guys, that's why I love to post on this forum... You guys give great pointers and we will consider doing some changes. The cool thing when releasing an album yourself is that you can always update

Listened to it yesterday.. Overall it sounds good enough (I mean it will most likely only be us that picks up something to complain about it haha).
Some things I noticed.
Bit harsh in the high mids/highs overall
Same as most people here, the guitars did not sound how I like them :/.
The kick was kinda buried, or atleast in the start..

Unlike everybody here obviously I like the guitars
They are very clear and dynamic, sound to me like a crunch Engl sound or something. And they have character, personality.

Ola did you use your DAR amps on it? I actually don't mind the guitar tone... it has your "sound". It has a tight crispness that cuts through the mix, imo. In a good way. My only issue is the loudness with the cymbals. And nothing against you or Ermz, but the master seems like it's being pushed a bit too hard just for loudness, especially in the upper frequencies, and maybe it's just the cymbals pushing the limiter to the brink... but maybe that's just me.

Mix is good but i find the guitar tone a bit weird also (sounds kinda metallic and digital to me). I prefered the character of Ola's preproduction mixes (even if i guess it didn't sound pro/refined enough to Ola for a commercial release or something ?).
I love that freakin' song, the "1 2 3 let's gooooooo" drives me nuts :Smokedev:

you remember the teaser you posted with all the song clips? i thought the mix on that sounded way better. the highs arent so piercing, the OH sit nice, and the low end is really nice compared to the mastered version. the gtrs on the teaser everyone complained it was too dark but to me it sounds better than the gtrs now. but the kick on the teaser was quiet also. just my opinion of course

I think the problem that people are experiencing with the guitars is actually the bass. I'm hearing this on my ns10s and it seems like the bass clunkiness in some parts is actually interfering with the guitars instead of complementing them like in most of Olas videos... great song btw

I think the mix is pretty damn good, the guitar has a lot of low mid umph but i think it works really well here. Song is very cool, if i had one minor gripe i would say more kick drum click would be cool. Also i like the louder overheads, it reminds me of the Pantera kind of thing, It bothers me when there is lacking high end information in a track.
Some changes has been made since this revision. Cymbals has lost some highs and the mix is not as loud as this one meaning everything comes out clear! Anyway you can buy the album at www.fearedband.com
