So I created my first impulse responses today. Hopefully someone will be willing to try them and out and see if they worked, and how they sound to you. They were both done at 44.1khz, 24 bit.

Celestion V12-60 (some weird vintage speaker) through audix i5 into FMR Really Nice Preamp:
carrier_flux-i5_rnp-v12-60_dc.wav

Celestion V12-60 through Shure sm57 into Groove Tubes The Brick.
carrier_flux-57_brick-v12-60_dc.wav

These were recorded using a Mesa 20/20 at relatively low volumes into a custom made 2x12. the test tone kept farting the speaker out when I had it turned up loud at all.

The sound is pretty good but very quiet. You should normalize the impulses.

do I do that with the .wav before or after 'deconvoluting' it with voxengo deconvoluter or whatever?

can I open the ****_dc.wav impulse response file in soundforge and normalize that? I'm new to this.

thanks!

Use the Normalize to -0.3 dBFS option in Deconvolver.
