Good news, i've seen at least one report on the Apple support forums from a guy that installed on a G5 running 10.5.5. looks like the stated minimum requirements are bull.

Min. requirements are often really just "this is what we know for sure, for definite what the software works on" - they probably don't even use G5's in the development team anymore!!:Smokin:

yeah, they only deliver monday-friday. if i wasnt such a fool i probably would have gone to the apple store and sorted it out straight away.

....except im not tied down to using their hardware (or having to use workarounds for other hardware), i can process everything natively, there is adc, etc....

Question, is there any possibility that DigiDesign Control 24 could work with Logic? Never tried it.
I highly doubt it, but that things just a big mouse with 16 "eh" preamps anyway
Yeah, I regret buying it. Really doubt it will work either. I'm letting the "hip hop guys" use the "studio standard" in the guest house.

It's sad, but this is honestly one of my favorite new features. I fucking hate the tape machine start-stop style transport bar in 8. Get that shit right the fuck back where I had it! I don't want to rewind!!!

Reading about the new features, I find it hard to believe just how much basic functionality Logic was missing prior to this update. How did you audio guys get by with it?
