[Dark One]

Considering the build up for both bands, this album came and went as quickly as Maiden's "Matter of Life and Death".

"Matter of Life and Death" is still in my rotation - it's a great album and hits the spot for a quick fix, even with all of the longer songs on it. Great background music. The Moonsorrow can only be enjoyed under intense listening conditions.

You're not missing anything. I listened to it like 1.4 times and it was entirely forgettable.

I haven't heard any of their stuff in ages, as is usual with most bands that churn out tripe, except old slayer.

Seriously, wtf is everyone going on about? I suppose playing the U.S is jumping the shark to some people.

old moonsorrow is damn delicious. the new stuff is so lame. "hey lets play long songs because its cool"

The last album and EP were the only one I really consider weak. 30 minute songs can be good, but if you're going to show everything the song has to offer in the first 5 minutes, whats the point of listening to the next 25 minutes?

Hopefully the next album will go back to the structure of Moonsorrow we've all come to love.
