What is the difference between this and X3 pro?

This one is based on the HD300/400/500 series modelling whereas the X3 is using the old Pod models. For $700 though I'll save a bit more and keep looking for a used AXE1 Ultra.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but it sounds just as shitty as the floor HD's.

The sound samples for the metal tones are seriously terrible. I wish they had someone who was decent at guitar do them at least =/
