What is up with this? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the track after a few listens. The chorus is fantastic! The Haunted is definitely one of my favourite bands, and I can't wait for the new album. But loads and loads of people are going to get really pissed off judging by this track

Very different but interesting. If I want the thrashy The Haunted I can always go listen to Revolver (which is difficult to top imo), so I like that they are trying something new. And the production sounds awesome. Tue Madsen is perfect for this band.

This song sounds like it could have been on the album I'd hoped they would make next after The Dead Eye, which is one of my favorites by anyone ever. No disrespect to their thrashier material and its supporters, but this new album could finally answer my question: "Could they pull off being a heavy Depeche Mode?"

edit: Yep, I am definitely sporting a semi for this album.

No.
Honestly I don't see the connection whatsoever and I own all of the records by both bands.

It's much more of an emotional connection than a musical one -- parts of TDE take me to similar places as some DM songs -- but I do wonder if that's a direction they could go successfully.

This is awful. Thank fuck I still have the first 3 albums to listen to. Preferred them when they were a Slayer clone.

I'm...... not sure what to think about this yet. The Haunted just can't be The Haunted unless they're pissed. And this isn't pissed.

God damn it, I hate it when bands pull this shit. Doesn't matter if the music is good or not, if you are going to completely change the musical direction of your band THEN IT'S NOT THE SAME FUCKING BAND ANYMORE

Get a side project for your gay desires, or just break up the band and reform with some other name, just don't try to assfuck your fans with this crap just becuse you want to capitalize on an already established name.

this could actually work really well, if they mix it up with some heavy thrash tunes.
it's a good song, and kinda takes the direction of versus a step further....what i disliked about versus is that the thrash songs were boring as fuck.
personally, it reminds me more of deftones than depeche mode though.
i'm not really feeling this, but i can see how it makes sense in a bigger picture. recent the haunted always were about the big picture, how the album works together.
the dead eye is my fave btw.
