hey people...peace...this discussion about which album is better is a total waste of time...it's a matter of taste.
my case: i like all opeth albuns, but i don't have a favorite one...there's something in one that i like best in relation to another and things go this way so that all the albuns fit well in my heart...that's it.
let's wait for the new albuns...i hope it'll be good material...i'm more interested in the balad's album (that i supose they'll make something really different) than the heavy one 'cause Mikael himself said that it'll be the same heavy stuff as ever...so, i'm not so much linked to it.

I dont like the album names, they lack the poetic dark Oprthian touch, they are way to generic, and maybe a bit cliche.
Morningrise is my favorite album due to the emotional implications it has on me. I agree they have moved on and make better music now, but nothing can top the emotional high that is Morningrise, except for maybe slected moments on MAYH.

Cant wait Im very curious to hear the new sound. I agree with earlier post that the album names sound like they should be switched. But EH what can you do , Im sure the 2 albums will scream Opeth ,and therefore be fucking awesome.
