NFL 2014

The thing about the Jets is even when they were making it to the AFC title game, they just didn't seem like a good team. There is a cloud over that franchise similar to the cloud over the Lions and Cardinals.

That list you made can be made about any team. The Jets have always lacked stars at the main skill positions and today that means QB and Receivers (including TE).

yes today that means QB and WR but for a majority of the 2000's the jets had a top RB and on defense had stars

Man, the Colts have looked great the past four weeks. I expecting the Bengals to give them fits but it just never happened. They look like real contenders now that Luck isn't throwing the ball away every other possession.

Too bad Mathis is out for the season, their defense might have actually been scary and not just good.

Remember when King was a Colts fan? those were ... oh wait

Yeah but the Cowboys lookin' good early only means hype, hype, hype nice and early UNTIL

I can't wait to see Irvin making emotional excuses and Jerry's grim face at the end of the year.

I'll admit the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC right now; Packers are creeping up and getting rhythm right behind them

Yeah I watched the Pack destroy the Panthers. Looking like a Cowboys-Packers NFC Champ game right now. Winner is the away team. But regarding hype: This is the first Dallas team in 20 yrs playing selfless defense and based on a running game.

Yeah that was funny, even made it onto NFL.com.

That's true about the D and running game. I like the way your guy Moore looked, really aggressive.

I hope Coughlin retires soon. I don't dislike him, it's just I think it's time. I'm also tired of Eli, I love the guy, his heart and what he's done but I'm just sick of him and his ups and downs, it's fucking exhausting. I'll take a Chad Pennington prototype

Cards keep winning. Yes it was the Raiders, but it was still a solid performance, especially from Ellington. 4 of the next 5 are against Philly, Dallas, Detroit, and Seattle, so they gotta play real well if they don't want to start to slip in the standings.

Packers are playing well despite critical injuries to the O-line and secondary. Hopefully they can get those guys back and actually be able to stop a good offense and protect Rodgers. I didn't see any of the game today and I know they killed Carolina, but they have significant issues too.

Yeah, he is definitely an upgrade over Claiborne at this point.

I thought Coughlin coached smart and aggressive yesterday with those fourth down attempts.

Edit: And just because I love to hate Stephen A so much:

Steelers suck this year. I've accepted it already, they'll go 8-8 or worse if I had to bet. I think they'll win against the Texans today. Maybe.

texans suck. they just need to throw in the towel and get a good draft position

fitzpatrick being a pro qb is one of lifes great mysteries along with lochness, the man on the moon, and people liking dso.

the dude wouldnt start on the local varsity team

I didn't notice the ref at first, I was looking at that completely ridiculous holding by #71.

Here’s a stat that suggests the Cowboys are as physical as they’ve ever been. With Seattle’s loss Sunday to the Rams, Cowboys’ opponents are 1-5 in the weeks following their game with Dallas.
Coincidence? Could be. Let’s see how that stat plays out the rest of the year. But for now, it shows the Cowboys are having a lasting effect on the teams they play.
Whether the Cowboys are just beating teams or actually beating them up, it’s a physical presence that we haven’t seen around here in a while.

Very interesting stat.

I'd like to see a list of the teams those teams played the next week. And in my opinion most things like this are simply coincidental. I mean you can take it where ever you want - the Cowboys opponents haven't gained more than 300 yards after the second Sunday of every other month on the road, during climate change for the last 8 years.

I'm drunk this afternoon, so cheers you shitty Eagles and Cowboys fans
