Leafs had an epic meltdown. i forgot how much the playoffs suck when your team isn't in it :erk:. at this point i'm rooting for any team other than the rags to win the cup. Lundquist is probably the best goalie in the league but i don't think the rags have a good enough team to win the cup.

Well peops ive been watching sports intently for 35-sumn plus years...ive never seen anything like that BOSTON BRUINS mutha f'in comeback. Seen bigger momentous wins but never a comeback like that. Pats comeback in the snow-bowl against the Raiders was close. Still flabbergasted...will get back.

You watched history.

''Just want to let you know no team has ever given up a 3rd period 3 goal lead......in game seven of the playoffs till now.

TSNDaveNaylor: In other words, there is no comparable in NHL history to what the Leafs let slip away tonight. Worst Game 7 collapse ever. #Leafs'

Yeah this has never happened til now...unreal. Still hasn't sunk in yet lol. I only hope the Bs can take this and be thankful and turn it up a few notches...cause they'll need to play much better against Lundqvist and the Rangers.

I turned the game off and watched the Caps, what a letdown that game was..but I did catch OT, I am going to root for the Sens I guess now

Ya know i've watched that a few times and then I finally got it! Lmao Ovechkin...idiot. Imagine if he back-checked even a little...he'd have like 2 cups by now.

I can see that the memo went out to the refs to be kind to the elites Pens. A stretch were you had punches to the back of head, crosscheck to the chin (right in front of ref) and other roughings...no Pens penalties. Then even battle to puck and a Sens bullshit holding penalty...results in a Pens PPG. Let the boys play but I really hate this letting blatant shit go with no calls esp in the playoffs. Like the Sens aren't up against it enuff.

Crazy isn't it Krig.

Wtf is going on with me? The Bruins have the comeback for the ages and all I can do is piss n moan for the Sens. As if i'm a north of the border sissy fan. I need a check-up from the neck-up lol.

The Blackhawks deserve some credit for being a really fucking good team. Probably the best in the NHL. They don't take games off like Pittsburgh and Boston do. It's not that they're so dominant of an offensive team, but they excel at puck possession. The penalty kill has been perfect, and they're the deepest team in every regard.

Everyone in Toronto is weeping, but really, they lost a first round series. They were 12 wins from the cup, and unlikely to be favored in any other round. In all likelihood they would have been promptly dismissed in round 2. I don't feel like what happened to them counts as a great sports heartbreak.

Pittsburgh did not require any loser points to get their record. Meh.

Wings are done in 5 probably. I'd like to be hopeful, but I just can't.

WHAH...seriously? You had a team in Toronto that was starved for any playoff success they could get. Their drought is self explanatory and they finally were in a great position to make some noise...then it all crashed and burned. You even had a player from the Leafs stating that this series loss will haunt him for the rest of his life. At the same time them going 7 games against Boston is in a sense a success. Yet, right or wrong, this will ultimately go down as one of the great choke / heartbreaking collapses in sports history. I dont know how you could think any differently?

In all reality though the better team won and not really in that fluky of a manner as appeared. The Bruins should have never even let this get to a game 7 but they did step up and dominate the final 10-11 minutes and more significantly their top players finally led the way and produced. No lucky bounces no cheap goals...legit pressure that resulted in positive plays. Many teams would have easily packed it in being down 3 goals...but the Bruins to their credit kept pushing.
