Am I the only one to think these series are terribly boring? At least the Hawks and Wings are interesting but my god the other 3 are terrible to watch. Ottawa played so bad overall last night and thank god Anderson played well to give them any chance at all, Rangers have so much talent but play like one of the worst teams and Boston is just slow hockey man, I remember them being more physical and dominating, and I just can't seem to enjoy a Sharks game at all.
I hear ya to a point....but I don't think "terribly boring". I almost never find playoff hockey boring and these playoffs haven't disappointed so far imo. Good match ups, some thrilling OT games ( not just Boston). I think at the same time it can be more conservative style of play with players / teams not wanting to make that critical mistake. Boston v NY you see this style alot and its not appealing. Atleast yesterdays game 2 the Bs looked like the more aggressive desperate team and went out popped in 5 gs...no way I saw that coming but loved it. I expected the Rangers to come out and be more like this...the team is a mystery? Starting with thier coach!
I'm guessing the Rangers will wake up once on home ice. But the Bs will be ready with no fear going in.

Come on as a Hockey fan you gotta admit a Pens/Hawks final would be intense. The amount of skill in that Cup Final would be off the charts lol... I don't like the Pens either, but that series would be awesome.
I get that Sys...it's the sexiest match up for sure. I still would like to see both teams get knocked out tbh. And didnt you say awhile back that the Pens and thier allstar type team will not make it thru? If these favorites do get bounced, you would to a lesser extent

Meh, I really thought the Pens were gonna choke in the first round, obviously they made the right moves to avoid that.
I want San Jose to win, I think they have an excellent team for a championship.

I watch the Rangers quite regularly and that team will only go as far as the queen will carry them. They struggle to score and play with 6 goalies and get pinned down in their own end for long stretches at a time. Boston is a great defensive team and much more physical than the Caps are. The Caps seem to piss away a 2-0 or 3-1 series lead every year but honestly i'd be surprised if the Bruins-rags series goes more than 5 games.

Is it me or do the Refs suck tonite? I didn't see much with the goalie interence on Chi...no goal allowed. And on Detroits 3rd goal the player rushing into the offensive zone put himself waaaaaay offsides...it wasn't even close.

The murder Chicago was getting away with especially on the bullshit non-call on the hit to Franzen that would have put us on a PP and prevented the goal that gave Chicago their goal...
It definitely was a shit game as far as reffing is concerned, but it was not one sided in favor of the Wings

Just was pointing out a cpl things during a moment in the game when I happened to take a look see. There was lots of other shit going on and no it wasn't one-sided. The Franzen hit looked bad but that is a tough one to call. Its the classic as the hit is being delivered the player then turns to make a move and puts himself in a vulnerable position. I guess it depends on who the Ref is at the time...it can go either way.

Wonder if Emery is going to get the start, and Datsyuk is such a stud I wish we had him..and Nyquist is seriously a playoff stud as well
