We know how tough it is to repeat...yet I think they may be primed to do so. They don't have that typical cup hangover shortened offseason...definitely benefitting from the long layoff this year.
Follow up on Joe Thorton. Former Bs GM M. Oconnell who is now working in the Kings org go figure. He mentioned how back when he made the controversial Thorton trade that it was mainly based on how he felt that Thorton didn't have enough character to lead a team to a Cup. The Bs wanted a diff direction and built it around a more proper player in Bergeron. Thorton became and still is a solid player and Oconnell isn't free from his own due criticism and wasn't the greatest GM ever but I find his comments interesting. Other things need to fall into place but Thorton has never been to a finals and Bergeron of course is and was a big part of the Bs Cup title run and the teams current success. Chara wears the "C" but Bergeron imo is and has been the pseudo captain of the Bs.

Don't know if you saw it yet but Hawks scored potential winning goal with 1:30ish left in reg. Only for it to be waved off because of a dbl minor that occurred at the same time but was way behind the play. I couldn't believe the call wow lol. Nevermind the timing of the call... the Hawks player was getting mugged and didn't even do anything. It should've been a good goal and a Hawks pp...mute point now.

Yeah, that was a bad waiving off of the goal, and had the Wings won I have a feeling the refs would've been punished hard for it

I think it's going to be Pens v Hawks..I don't think Rask is good enough to stop the ridiculous potent Pens offense and I just think the Hawks will be too quick to the Kings, but I bet that series goes to 7 because of how good Quick is playing right now..if Rask plays better than i think I definitely see both going to gm7
