NHL 2013 SEASON IS GO!

Yes LA needs to wake up.

Wow Sys...I know you hate the Bs but give credit when due. As mentioned the Bruins survived an all out onslaught and yes the Pens hit many posts. But maybe that had sumn to do with Rasks angles etc...regardless he was amazing in net. Bergeron also didn't even get a shot off on a clean breakaway. There is always missed chances both ways. No it wasn't a dominant performance...but I sure didn't expect a dominant Bs performance in Pitt for game-1. But the Bs did control much of that game and held them scoreless. I expect different things from the Pens going forward.

I didn't say I wasn't giving them credit, they buried their chances when they had them, Pittsburgh just got unlucky when it came to there's.

That second game though, Pittsburgh really shit the bed lol... Marc-Andre Fleury is def getting back in net after that slaughter lol...

This blows for my hockey pool though, I picked mostly LA and Pens players to make it to the cup final and both teams are doing nothing lol...

Also I don't catch any NBC games so I wouldn't know what Pierre has been saying all these years since he's left TSN. Back then he was prob one of the best out there especially with his World Junior Championship stuff he drooled over that tournament lol... Now I don't know what he's like sounds like he voices his opinion too much now lol...

OMFGJGDCWTF what a win! 2-1 Bs in dbl OT. Bergeron the GW what a leader.
I told all you haters that Rask was / is Vezina worthy...you can all retract negative statements NOW lol he's been immense! Don't want to hear about hit posts, Pens missed chances, how good his D- is in front of him etc cause I already know. 54 shot 53 saves tonite against the greatest offense on earth...2 GA in 3 games enuff said.

I'm really impressed with how Boston's playing. Total team game, and even though they don't have any superstars up front, it's still lots of fun to watch them cycle and just grind the other team out. I found myself rooting for them in game 2, and continued to do so in game 3 (and I even wore a Bruins jersey while watching the game). If they meet Chicago in the finals, I have no idea who I'll root for, I like both quite a bit.

I'd call Bergeron a borderline superstar, one of the best two way players in the game.

An LA / Boston final is optimal for me in terms of not hating the teams...

Hate Chicago, hate Pittsburgh...don't really like Boston, but whatever, and LA I'm cool with, just don't want them to repeat

Bergeron isn't much more than a 2nd liner in terms of offense, though. Boston's forwards corps is made up of a lot of good, gritty guys who play a simple offensive game that's comprised of a pretty strong forecheck, and a lot of cycling. Even their powerplay is a relatively simple umbrella setup, where they just pass around until someone's open for a good shot, or they just pass back to Chara and hope Lucic or whoever screens the goalie. They're not going to dazzle you with anything spectacular, yet I still find their game plan pretty interesting. That's basically the point I was trying to make.

I hate the LA Kings more than pretty much anything, so I'll be happy as long as they don't repeat.

Boston is still basically a dump and chase use heavy forecheck type of offense, but they have gotten away from that style a bit and have used more creativity. I'm glad for it because I think they have enough skill now up front to do it. Bergy, Krejci, Marchand is even real shifty / creative around the dots and in front of net. Atleast theyve done this against the Pens. No need to always dump in behind and chase. I can't believe how many times Bruin players have been left open or unchallenged right in front of the net. Theyre just dominating the Pens D- in this series.

Let's give some real credit here..Krejci is a fucking animal this post season! Rask is playing great and I gotta give him credit but right now I hope the Smythe is going to Krejci..but wowza I am so happy the B's can sweep the Pens...they deserve it!

I remember those Bobby Ryan for Krejci rumors from a couple years ago, and man do I wish some sort of deal could have been made. Krejci's awesome! ... and Bobby Ryan can go fuck himself... I hope's he's dealt for a top pairing Dman this offseason.

No way that's getting called in OT. Basically a hook on a clean breakaway is all that's getting called (as far as hooking) at that point. It was far from that...it was basically seen as a battle on the boards between two players. Shame on Malkin for letting the old bastard win that battle lol.

Tough break (literally) for Cambell who blocked a shot during a PK. Done for playoffs with a broken leg. They'll miss him, he does a little bit of everything for the Bs. I'm guessing Soderberg or Daugavins will replace.

I'm sick of this whole "because they are in OT they won't call anything" It's complete bullshit, I get it for the fact you should let them play, but why should the officiating be any different from the regular season it's fucking stupid. That was as clear a hooking penalty as anything, besides the players are to blame if they can't control where their stick goes or whatever, it's part of the game why should it be any different in OT is what I'm asking.

Too many times have games been decided by missed calls which led to goals.

Im not saying its right and I hear you to a point. But come on, you cant expect the playoffs to be called the same as the regular season? Everything is amped up the stakes are higher of course, it's only natural and a common theme that they simply let things go more in OT. Not that they should all of a sudden put the whistles away completely. If Jagr instead hooks a guy in the same manner who was skating past him towards a scoring chance...then he wouldve been called for it. I think they just saw it as a scrum / battle on the boards...play on. As long as the Refs are consistant both ways...then good.

MUTHAFOOKIN BOSTON BRUINS...SHIT YEAH!!!

Just like my early prediction, the Bs would easily sweep the Pens...just kidding lol.

Seriously, what an amazing total team performance. They got some fortunate bounces but man this team busted their asses to shutdown a mighty Pens team. Igilna lol, had a deal in place to be traded to the Bs and chose to go to the Pens last minute instead...sorry Jerome! He can go cry next to Syd the Kiddy cat.

I love the Iginla side to it. He screwed the Flames by saying he only wanted the Pens so the team took a worse trade for his selfish actions, and then his 'new' team gets swept by the team he should have been on..love it!

Beautiful isn't it.

And the Bs good young defenseman Matt Bartkowski was a definite piece to that Igilna trade. The Bs keep him, he's played well (when in ) and figures to be a key part of the Bs future. Then as a secondary deal they of course land for former Pen legend Jagr. Funny how this shit works out sometimes.

I don't know who I want next. Really don't want any part of Quick and the Kings smothering dragout style. Yet the Hawks seem to be more complete and a taller task. Yet i think the Bs may be able to game plan, match up, maybe contain Teows, Kane et al...similar to how they went into it against the Pens.

I don't see LA coming back..if they had a chance they would have won the last game minus Keith, but blew it at home..Hawks are going to play you guys and the big difference I see is that their secondary scorers are showing up while not many other teams did..Sharp/Toews/Kane/Hossa are there but not the dominant force such as a team like the Pens..this should be a great finals

Yeah youre probably right about LA. Though it would be nice if they can atleast drag out a cpl more games while the Bs kick back and rest.

I'm just stoked the Bs made it, have a chance and wiped out the Rangers more so the Pens along the way.
