Another putrid game by our defense (especially KYLE GODDAMN QUINCEY), but Howard played lights out.
Our PP is possibly the worst I've ever seen on a Wings team.
Dats looked to finally be himself a bit near the end of the game, but would like a full game effort.
Brunner and Z were the best players on the ice for Detroit. Brunner just has a "nose" for the puck <_< and him getting his first goal of the season was nice, even if it was in garbage time.

The lines need to be reworked - providing that Bert, Ericsson, and Helm are back

Should balance out our lines ability to score a lot more as well as bring a gritty game

Pasha played a great game, Z played solid, Brunner gets his second goal of the season, and our DEFENSE played one hell of a game as a whole. Blocking shots like we're the NYR.

Howard looked good, defense looked good, Fil was great, Zetterberg scored on a goddamn ROCKET, and Dats reinforced that he is the best player on ice today.

Brunner is also proving more and more than he is the best acquisition this team has made in quite a while.

I'll agree on that call being bullshit, BUT only in the sense that it was not major worthy. It was still penalty worthy due to it being 1. late and 2. charging in at Huskins

I have been to all 4 Sabres home games and I think my last one will be thursday against the Canadiens. We suck.

But the Canadiens looked good the other day against us, really surprised at that drastic change over one off season

and we've recalled Tomas Tatar, who should bring some scoring to our dead bottom six...

but some are speculating that this could be a way to 'show him off' for a possible trade with Florida for Weiss

He's a stud center, Datsyuk is old that would be a good move, but I guess you would have to trade some young prospects as Florida is old too

Hawks have been the best in the NHL so far, and have only played two home games. Already 1/3 of their entire road schedule is in the books. They're setting themselves up for a serious run at the top seed as it stands right now. Of course, with this short of a year, seeding is unlikely to reflect true talent level for the most part.

Tatar with an assist and 2 shots.
Brunner with a goal and 2 shots.
Lashoff with 20:18 minutes of ice time, 3rd most on the team, but only 4 seconds behind White, and a +1 rating.
Mrazek with 27 saves, and a .963 SV%.

Tatar changed the way that third line played. Energy, hustle, and a touch of offensive ability.

Brunner has been a stud for us thus far

Lashoff has been playing solid hockey, plays a simple game that is not impressive but effective

and what a game by Mrazek, goddamn was that impressive for his first NHL game ever

NOW if only they both realize this kind of shit and keep these young guys up with the big club and bring up Nyqvist as well - maybe not even in a top six role but to make the third line even more dangerous.

Oh wow quit your bellyaching. I am and have been a fan of a mediocre hockey team for the past 10 years, and only had two good seasons and literally refs stole game 6 of the finals from us. I don't want to hear someone complain when they were easily the best comeback team last year, and are going to be much better later in the season
