NHL 2013 SEASON IS GO!

For the first time in recent history there are two Canadian cup contenders. Vancouver vs Montreal could become a classic series.

Newest OttawaGh0st :lol::

Many of these announcers are simply homer blowhards. I find this more in the NHL than the other pro sports. Prior to Edwards the Bruins had Dale Arnold who I thought called a great game and was not painful to listen to at all. He now does the in studio between periods game nite stuff.

If the Blues don't do it in their next game I've a feeling that the Wings will provided we play up like we did the last two games.

Holy shit Quincey made a great poke check just now

Turned the puck over to Dustin Brown right in front of the Wings net perfect scoring area for Brown, and Quincey gets it out of there right in time

I do not want to ever hear anyone cry Refwings after tonights game. Absolutely fucking abysmal refereeing performance tonight. 2 5 on 3s that were weak as hell and a third that came from one of the dumbest rules in the book...all the while LA makes dirty hit after dirty hit including a suspension worthy one from Dustin Penner to Brendan Smith

Great game tonight but it seems we used up all of our goals against Vancouver haha

Brunner played great tonight, backchecking well, shooting well, making great passes, just nothing would go in

We're going to have to convert a lot more of our shots into goals if we have any chance at beating Chicago, but we've got as good a chance as anyone

Wondering if Avalanche took the offer sheet from OReilly in order to trade him...I heard that this 5mil a year avg was the deal they didn't want to pay them, and then they did right away?

They'd not be able to trade him until next year I believe, but they shouldn't have matched it because I guess some weird loophole came about that since ROR was playing in the KHL during the NHL season (or something like that) he would have needed to clear waivers to come back to the NHL if it was a non Avs team

so effectively the Avs could've failed to match, got a 1st (likely a top 10 pick) and 3rd, and then put in the waiver claim on ROR and got him and left Calgary with nothing hah

Going to Ducks game tonight. Luckily, the tickets havent gotten too expensive yet, as the bandwagoners havent fully come out of the woodwork.

Some middle aged dude at the game mistaked a Pantera song for a Metallica song. Thought that was funny.

Well i'm not sure how the CBA rule works, but if they did not accept it would have been even better for Colorado. They still would have gotten the picks I assume, and then they would have stayed terrible while a Winnipeg or someone picked him up.
