Nick Crow 8505 Lead - Guitar Amp VST plug-in

Controls:
POWER - Power ON/OFF.
HQ - Oversampling ON / OFF. Use OFF to reduce CPU usage, use ON to get the quality sound without aliases (more CPU). When a project or the track is exported to a wave file (mixdown, bounce, render, freeze) oversampling is always automatically enabled regardless of the position of the button.
GAIN - Determines the amount of gain applied by the Pre Amp.
LOW, MID, SWEEP, HIGH - Tone Stack controls.
POWER AMP - Determines the amount of gain applied by the Power Amp.
VOLUME - Output level.

After Nick_Crow_8505_Lead insert some guitar cabinet emulation.

Here's a quick comparison for you people who are interested:

DIs were done by Metaltastic with an EMG 81, one is run through a real 6505 lead channel, the other through the 8505 setting set to match the tone of the real head (with power amp all the way down). Both through Catharsis' s-presence8 fredman impulses.

Hey Ermz! Your clips sound really good!!!!! Did you find the settings on 8505 to be a lot different than the 6505 ones? Did you use any real or vst tubescreamer?

Not that different actually in every way apart from the bass knob. On the real head it would've been around the 12 o'clock position, but on the sim it was around just under 9. Mids almost entirely scooped, and highs around 2 o'clock.

I should note that I was using a real TS for the 6505 and TSS for the 8505 so I might try to re-do this shoot-out using the real TS for the 8505. It may give it that extra few percent. I am noting that the sim sounds a bit harsher and maybe not as sweet or compressed as the real head, but who knows how much the TS plays into that. Aside from that, I think it's remarkably close, so great job Nick!

I ran a short test too, no post-processing, just 8505 with Catharsis Awesometime impulses. Made with my good ol' trusty Epiphone LP with Gibson 500T bridge pickup. And don't mind my crappy playing!
