No Mastering For Maiden

Someone really needs to knock some basic recording sense into both Arry and Kevin Shirley...is it too late to send the tapes over to Roy?

It just doesn't sound good

There's no separation between the guitar tracks, the drum sound (particularly snare) is pretty terrible and bleh

I mean yeah it sounds "acceptable" but compare it to anything 1981-1988

hmm yeah I see what you mean. Someone new to Maiden couldn't guess there were 3 guitars playing hm? The snare sounded pretty bad too, I agree.

Someone old to Maiden couldn't guess that. But then, this might have more to do with the redundancy of Janick Gers more so than the production value.
