Non-metal 2005 stuff that turns BWD on?

Well, it appears that I haven't discovered the amount of new non-metal this year as last year, but I have heard/own these and can definitely vouch for them:

ANGELS OF LIGHT - Angels of Light Sing Other People
WINDSOR FOR THE DERBY - Giving Up the Ghost
SIGUR RÓS - Takk
ADRIAN BELEW - Side Two
TOBY DRIVER - In the L..L..Library Loft

I'll post more when I think of them...

I was actually surprised at how good the entire project is. Adrian sounds like he's 25 again! And, of course, the musicianship is top notch.

Earth - HEX (or printing in the infernal method)

(just sayin', can't vouch if this one turns on BWD, whoever the hell that is)

so that there Side Two is better then One aye? Side One was cool for like, a month. first two tracks really cool, others not so much.

The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute

this album is beyond incredible. still can't get over how fucking amazing it is. i was starting to think that new music couldn't completely kick my dick in, but thankfully i was wrong.

Meh , I enjoyed it first but now it's booooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiingggggggggg :p

I think I have discovered the non-metal album of 2005:

THE ANIMAL COLLECTIVE - Feels

More to come...

How's the Toby Driver album? I'm really curious about it.

It's very low-keyed psychadelia... It's very organic and cold though, and not really electronica. Picture KD at their most sparse and weird. It's an album you put on at night, f'sho.
