Non-Raw Black Metal

You always hear so much about raw, gritty, barely listenable black metal that all makes for an experience and atmosphere, but tbh, that isn't my scene.

So i was wondering if there's any very clear, well produced black metal out there to change my mind about the genre in general?

is the original substantially different? (I mean, like actually 'raw'? cos the one I have is as well produced as any other melodic black I have)

Yeah, some of the songs don't sound anything alike. The original Stormblast is the only Dimmu Borgir I remotely enjoyed.

Yeah Windir is the perfect mix in my opinion. Not clean sounding by any means but not really raw either - just the perfect levels and effects to make it sound epic as hell.
