Northern Comfort or Lobodomy?

LoBodomy is better, its one of my fav songs in Blooddrunk and Northern Comfort is worst song in FTR right after Taste of My Scythe

i don't understand why some people are saying that it's one of the worst bodom songs-- it's a bonefide classic to me...and i love lobodomy too, but it doesn't even compare to northern comfort.

and you're right jmbullet, europe > america...with our economy in the shitter, our wars on "terrorism", and our ridiculously embarrassing 2008 election, i can definitely understand why other countries are laughing at us. it's a sad time to be an american :/

you're really honest. I think however that (most of the) american people are a whole different thing from the american government (and the same happens in many, many countries)

yeah, alot of us don't share the same views and opinions as our government...but i'm not really sure if alot of other countries realize this, unfortunately :/ many fellow americans have told me that they were treated poorly by people from other countries when they travelled abroad-- and it's mostly because everyone hates the U.S.'s "police-like" role in world politics...

i just think that it's sad that some people will hate us just because we're american citizens...and yeah okay, there's plenty of bastard amercians out here, but we're not all bad at least some people on this forum understand that lol

I can't understand how they can say that. Like (I think) Janne said that it was In The Shadows (or maybe it was Jaska) was the worst song but I fucking love both songs, it and Northern Comfort. There's only one song that I hate and that is Punch me I Bleed, and maybe the chorus from Done with Everything... Cus they're so easy and cheap. Anyone agree?

I disagree because PMIB is awesome live. I do agree tho that it sucks on the album. In the Shadows is a shit song in my opinion, the ending is awesome, but it's just the ending. As with Northern Comfort, it has one stand-out part, which alone won't make the song great. It does have some interesting stuff tho. Done With Everything chorus does suck, yeah, as do a lot of COB's choruses in the new material, but that depends on the constructions of the songs.

I know people have varying opinions and taste, but I don't even understand how someone can actually think Ale was better than Roope in any way (as a guitar player in general, or one for CoB).

The fact of the matter is that you can judge Ale by his CoB stuff, and his stuff afterwards. With the former, it was pretty much all written by Alexi anyway. With the stuff that came later, it's honestly pretty boring and unoriginal. And I am not saying this because I'm somehow obsessed with shredding. I'm not. I love all kinds of playing.

Not only that, but Roope actually cares about and is dedicated to music, rather than abandoning it (and his friends) and just messing around with it whenever he feels like it. And that's aside from all of the other factors people have brought up.

And to even say that Ale was always cleaner than Alexi, and that Alexi is getting worse? That's just stupid. Even if he were (which is debatable), it's sure as hell easier playing what Ale was. Especially when you're not doing vocals on top of it.

I prefer Lobodomy more than Northern Comfort. It just hits 'deeper' on me. And about Ale vs Roope, I see Roope as better guitarist. AND New Bodom vs Old Bodom, both are kickass. I can't say wich one's better

Are you kiding? Roope is awesome for that, his viking vocals rock Although Ale's ''Pounder!'' was awesome too, and his singing in MOS on the Mystic Festival thing is damn funny too
