i rank Classica as one of my best in the collection...
and would encourage you to get Novembrine Waltz as well

What? Arte Novecento is a groundbreaking album. Dare I say that Katatonia were highly influenced by it (all clean vocals, "cleaner" guitars, etc.)? I think so. It was a HUGE lead leap forward. Too bad they copped out and re-introduced their harsh vocals.

katatonia influenced by arte900?? where in the hell did you get that info?! i would seriously doubt that.

Arte Novecento was recorded in Feb. 1996 and Discouraged Ones in August 1997.

DO showed Katatonia dropping the growls, introducing more clean guitars - basically going in a more "gothic" direction.

Arte Novecento did the same a year earlier AND it was recorded with Dan Swano in Sweden - a good chance that Katatonia heard it, etc.

OK people, deny it all you want, but I stand by my opinion.
