haha. Yeah, The Sound of Perseverence is one of the only metal albums that I've heard this year that's impressed me (yes that's right, I hadn't hear it before 2005! *gasp*). Shame that guitar sound is so horrid.

EDIT: Naturally, Prometheus kicks ass! One of the best metal albums of all time.
 
the sound isn't horrid imo. it just doesnt sound really good. but then again, i listen to nattens madrigal for the first time yesterday, so my expectations of production kinda changed :lol:

what is PFM?

white willow are nice. i had one album once but their singer sang so horrible off-key from time to time that i stopped listening...

np: king crimson - in the wake of poseidon
damn underrated among king crimson fans imo...
 
Premiata Forneria Marconi, excellent italian prog band. Although, Pictures of Ghost's is the only album I've heard, I dig it alot, but I hear PFM have better, so I'll have to check it out one of these days. Like I said, River of Life is an excellent song, and the melodies are amazing, and there is also alot of wacky beeps and boops and bizarre progressive sections.
