I like it so far, it's a lot of music to consume, but my impression so far is that we might have yet another PT masterpiece on our hands..

The new PT frustrates me in the same way Dream Theater pisses me off. There's a lot of good stuff surrounded by mediocrity that ruins said good stuff.

NP: Lightbulb Sun to make me feel better after that long listen of the Incident.

Dredg, a great band. Live even more. They're playing Amsterdam again in October. Melkweg.

I love dredg...but they seriously disappointed me the last time I saw them...played a 45 minute set...both openers played longer.

new Porcupine tree is a huge disappointment so far after 3 or so listens. the album is so aimless and lack luster.

^ Indeed, FOABP was the disappointment, The Incident was simply expected mediocrity (it's not bad, just mediocre by PT standards..)

yeah, im a huge fan of FOABP but the incident i have to say is a pretty big misfire for PT. maybe it will grow on me.
