NYC/NJ area metal shows, coming up

dude ... after you guys left ... we stayed till about 2am ... turns out the skinny blonde tall bartender was Hungarian ... rapped with her a bit ... tried to be witty ... failed in both languages ... then finally left (actually not before, Zod and CO. cam coming back after missing the last train to Philly)
they were going to close the bar and catch a 5am train ... hope they made it OK!

Ha ha, I knew that.

As Ali and I were entering the Lincoln Tunnel on our way home, Zod called to ask if we were still at the bar.

You can take the Anthrax show off the list (I missed out on this show too). Also add Seven Witches to the W.A.S.P. show at Starland. Neuris is also opening for Overkill at Starland. Can't wait for Sodom/Finntroll tonight!

Some more things to add to the list...

Queen of the Ryche is opening for Sonata Arctica

1/28/06 - The Bronx Casket Co. @ Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ

With Passion is opening the Nile show

Undying is opening the Kreator/Napalm Death show

Mikell's Plot and Arctic Flame are opening for Loudness at Starland

Despised Icon is opening Krisiun/Behemoth/Morbid Angel

Suffocation, Skinless, Full Blown Chaos and Classic Struggle have been added to the Exodus/Cryptopsy/Immolation bill

Into Eternity is opening for Gamma Ray (what a shock)

Daylight Dies and Dead Syndicate are opening for Emperor on the 13th

Dead Syndicate and Starkweather are openingf or Emperor on the 14th

Suffocation, Skinless, Full Blown Chaos and Classic Struggle have been added to the Exodus/Cryptopsy/Immolation bill

WTF ???

another crazy lineup where each band will get like 20 minutes each

Oh man... what a fucking night. We left the bar at 3:45AM. The brunette bartender with the cool sense of humor and nice rack offered us all her floor (as did you, which we appreciated). But we needed to get my neice home so she could open the gym she works in. After eating some suspicious pizza and stale baked goods in Penn Station, we got on the 5:14AM train. Pulled into my driveway at 6:45AM, just as my neighbors were pulling out to go to church :)rock: ). Stayed up so my neice could grab a bite and change. Dropped her off at work, hit my bed at 8AM.

Anthrax slayed. Great set list. They played "Medusa". Life was good. I don't think I've ever sweated drunkeness out of my system that quickly. When Anthrax went on, I was hammered. When they finished, I was stone cold sober.

Zod

Good to hear all went well Zod ... good seeing everyone again!

The brunette offered us all her floor

yeah, she was a spunky one ... very hospitable ... i need to check out that place more often in my travels in the city.

i am just listening to Skeletons in the Closet ... man, that went over well last night ... the not so famous songs off of ATL are even better in some way then the classics ... ONE WORLD :kickass:

"Spreading the Disease" and "Among the Living" are without a doubt, classic, 9.5/10 CDs.

Zod

Among the Living is probably my fave, but all of them are great. Except Persistence of Time wasn't as good...

Zod, Jason & co - glad you guys made it home at least. I'm sure you'll be feeling it for a few days now, haha. It's like having jet lag when you lose a night's sleep.

I actually went back and removed the 10/10 I had originally given them when I wrote that post. There's a track or two on each disc that I'm not crazy about. To me, a 10/10 should have no track that makes me want to reach for the "skip" button.

Zod

revisiting ATL last night ... I have not heard it complete in maybe 10 years ... and back then I might have not liked certain tracks ... but really there are no fillers on it ... NONE

fyi ... gugs ... MR WU on the Anthrax board ... and he posted twice in the NYC show thread is Scott Ian ... maybe you knew ... I just figured that out ... duh.
