I don't think everyone's being "moribund". It looks to me like people are just calling it how they see it. I'm happy we have a new president too (remember, I voted for him), but as of yet he hasn't proven to do fucking anything, so there's no reason to praise him. Hopefully there will be soon.

I was stoked when Obama won....primarily because it meant McCain lost, but I also look at it realistically. He's not going to bring about world peace, legalize marijuana and shoot rainbows out of his ass no matter how we wish it to be true.

Even my "black" highly educated MIT graduate neighbor was sick of it all yesterday when he came over for a beer. After a few he commented on Barry's eerily and curious rapid acent in politics, the high probability that he was only elected because he spoke well and was black, along with the complete failure in public perception of moron Bush and Cheney dooming the republican runners along with the bullshit faggot liberal media that bombarded Mcain and Palin.
Welcome to the next circus. Hopefull the chinese and saudi will borrow up enough money for Barry's miracle plan which will do little more that sell off more of this country.

You miss the point in that many of us buisness owners and or working stiffs make PLENTY of sacrifices. A good look at many of Barry's wonderfull plans are aimed right at us in a less than helpfull manner. Looking over my tax returns and five digit, some close to six checks TO the IRS from the past decade I along with millions of other owners have made and make more than our fair share of sacrifices.

American taxes are a fucking joke, they barely benefit the citizens that pay them. There should be more taxes from areas that NEED to be taxed more, and that money needs to be applied more efficiently so that it can benefit people, especially the very low income bracket. I never knew how big the poverty level in the USA was... but it's actually pretty bad for a country that the USA is supposed to be. I don't know why the fuck you guys haven't banded together yet and gotten universal healthcare...
....oh yeah I remember, OLD WHITE MONEY never wants to see that happened because privatized healthcare is a LUCRATIVE enterprise that brings in hundreds of billions to a few companies. In Canada, if they ever took away our healthcare, there'd be a revolution. The argument is always OMG SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE SUCKS NO ONE GETS TREATED. That's bullshit and there's how many goddamn countries in the world who are perfect case studies for this... it's just scare tactics. If you can afford to get your own private doctor, thenyou should have that choice, but if you can't then one should be provided to you... it's basic human rights.
