OCTOBER FALLS - MARRAS

This is the second vinyl-release from October Falls and follows Tuoni 10",
that was released on 2004 by Ahdistuksen Aihio Productions.
Marras has been remastered and also includes a bonus track,
that is only available on this release.
Total playing time is 36:04.

More info when this has gone to pressing and is ready to purchase, that should take about 4-8 weeks.
This is a bit early, but I just wanted to inform the ones, whom might be interested about this.

The coverart is FREEKIN' sweet!!! Gotta get the vinyl when it comes out.

Yritän välttää vaihtoja, kun omasta pussista menee vinyylin painatus yms, mutta teidän levy on jo pihalla, kun tämä julkaistaan, joten eiköhän vaihtoa saada aikaiseksi! :)

fucking brilliant cover art.

sign me up for a copy, eh. musta metsä.

Thanks, if the nasheim/angantyr split LP is out by then, we shall trade?! As I personally pay all of the fees for this pressing, I shall only make few trades.

EDIT - too many beers = too many typos

I know I'm not alone in this, but I'll just state this for the record:

It really fucking makes me happy to see people like Lehto, MFJ, Erik/footbalm, etc. putting so much effort into getting their music (well-)recorded & released in such nice formats, simply absorbing the costs and all. I know Erik takes this for granted as part of the artistic process, but I just wanted to put it out there. :kickass:

with any luck, the next year or two will see me added to the ranks of RC musicians. i'm pretty confident in my abilities at guitar (that's all for now anyways), but i have to just take my time for there's a lot to learn before i'll be recording on the level these fuckers are!

I personally hate (most) commercial bands and altough I have made at least some money with October Falls (not much though, hehe, sorry Erik) I always want all the releases to be as good as possible, this vinyl will be on 180gr vinyl, 140gr would have been about 200 euros cheaper to made, but I want the better, so I'll pay more, from my own pocket.

As Nasheim was a "hot iron" last year, so it would have been easy to just release something and it would have sold easy, but nothing new came out = a real art takes the time it needs. Also Noltem interests me quite a lot (with a real drummer!!!) and it will take time, but at some point it comes out!

Corpinen has Subaudition and it's really great stuff, check it when it's available by Prophecy (the suböabel, but anyway).

You seem to be on the same page with me when it comes to music: absolute dedication to quality takes precedence over potential for material gains. It's refreshing to see this attitude in such abundance around here, but I think its important to stay open to the possibility that SOME income from musical sources is permissible without corrupting your intentions/process.

I also agree with what you said about Nasheim. I mean, that may mean very little to the metal community as a whole, but its very respectable to see artists take their time to refine their craft, though it may be aggravating for the fans in the meantime!

without tooting my own horn too much, the demo was pretty fucking good and i want to make sure to top that... so yes, i'm taking my time to say the least... i keep scrapping riffs all the fucking time and totally rewriting huge parts of songs, trying different guitar sounds & drum samples etc... but hopefully it's worth it in the end

Yeah I hear you, I feel the exact same way about my demo. Basically I had the ENTIRE EP written, now I'm back to about half a song. I'll use 3 or 5 riffs, but this is going to be BETTER.
