I heard over at the Metal Archives forum that Fred has written a new October Tide album. It's unknown if Jonas will be involved though.

Does anybody have any info/news on this?

There was an interview with Blakkheim recently where he told Fred allready did a new album and is shopping labels. Jonas isn't involved. Let me find the link..

is anybody excited for this? i loved rain without end, hopefully this will be as good (even without jonas), is the other album as good? (grey something, im having one of those forgetful moments)

I hope there will be a new vocalist, the vocals on Grey Dawn put me off. Rain Without End is great though.

Grey Dawn is fantastic. Zero Complaints about that album.

I agree! I don't get the dislike for that album that some people have for it here. I find in some ways it's better than Rain Without End, but in other ways it's inferior. I say both October Tide albums are essential and I really don't favor one or the other.

I agree, might even prefer Grey Dawn a tad over RWE. Marten Hansen's vocals are very intense.

Most metal band's entire catalogue is a joke compared to both October Tide albums. Not only "doom metal", but metal as a genre. I never saw 'em merely as a side project or anything like that.

October Tide = legendary band imo.
