Help me out, Swedish ones.

Is that true that Swedish Police can only fine drivers if their cars are immobile? I mean, if you run away from the cops, and lose the tail, even with your plate in hands, they can´t do anything?

Solve my tormenting doubt.
:p

All cars I think have VIN (vehicle identification number) so a license plate is irrelevant for identification. A license plate is just one of two forms of car identification.
So yea they would catch your ass if you're the owner of the car :D
Hope this helps :tickled:

well, us germans only were good at fucking up every country, including our own
I honestly like the way German law is in regards to drunk drivers.

Get caught drunk driving = lose your driving license forever.

I really want this law in the U.S.

well, but it isn't. your license gets sacked for at least 3 months + money fee and you have to take a test, the so-called "idiot's test" which is really hard to take. but if you pass you get your license back.
also, more and more countries in europe have a 0.0 per mille tolerance, whereas in germany we just a couple of years ago changed it from 0.8 to 0.5

Eh. A lot better than relatively "loose" drunk driving laws here.

well how are they in the states? except from letting 16yo behind the wheel already (totally insane).

Good brief summary of the laws/punishment pertaining to drunk driving:

There are law firms in the U.S. specializing in defending drunk driving cases; makes me sick.

Heh, in that case Mexico is some kind of speeder's heaven, we have speed limits but nobody minds them and even though I've never been pulled over by cops people say it's not that hard to run away from them.

My top driving speed is 230 km/h
