Off topic/ who plays an instument............

I've learned piano for 6 years. :Spin:
Now I'm a Noisician and abuse the guitar and do some vocal assaults here and there.

I play drums...I have a awesome 9 piece Tama Starclassic with a Axis double bass pedal and 7 cymbals (all Paiste) and I also have a 4 piece piece Gretsch drumset that I have completely restored, it is from the 70's (not sure about what year) it was my first drumset that I bought from my cousin and I can't imagine ever parting with it now. I have been playing drums since I was nine, I am now 24 and can play the fuck out of a blast beat... My influence's for drumming range from Danny Carey, Stewart Copeland, Paul Bostaph, Herb Alexander, Brain and of course Lamb of God's drummer(can't think of his name right now. I have played in a million bands some REALLY good and some REALLY terrible...

Fuck man, how is the Axis pedal? I was thinking about purchasing one, but it´s quite hard to get one in here. I have DW 5000 (two-chained) double pedal, could you tell the difference?
BTW I have Pearl Masters Studio 6-piece set, sunburst finish, it looks spectacular :)

those are real nice kits , a guy in this blues band that jams in the storage place my band jams in has one, looks and sounds spectacular

I'm a dab hand at the GAZOO & the mother fucking SPOONS been into the cold metal for a while, plays havoc to the wrists but as they say no pain no gain :loco: . Did sing in a band when i was 15 we were called THE MUTANT MOTHERS didnt get out of the bedroom though (no one had a garage!!).

I got a shit load of demo tapes,disks........... out ofthe 10-15 band i have been in none of them ever made it to a real studio recording........ 4 of them almost made it out of the studio .

I seem to have the problem of hooking up with people who are dead bent on trying to get famous and unless someone puts enough money in my face for me to quit my 30 grand a year job i aint doing it...........that seem to offend people........................

Yeah, I've been WAY to busy with work to post...Which really sucks because
there's been a wave of retarded posts (I'm looking your way muff daddy) lately.

I agree with your post on band members it's so right, every monkey who I bring in to jam all have the same bullshit deal where they want to pretend they're rock stars and do everything but write songs, It makes me sick!!

anyway according to the latest polls Bush is out in front, and that's DEFINETLEY a good thing!! I don't really know what else to say.....

Shout out to: Bobo,MHFYRD,13th Candle,Nik,Billy and anyone else who's a cool psychotic fuck that I might've missed!!

Hopefully my work load will die down and I'll be back to fuck with all of those
liberal,pussy maggots that deserve it!!

I am so in love with that pedal, I have played DW's doubles and I really cannot get into them after buying the Axis. I am all about AXIS pedal now, I cannot see playing any other kind of pedal. Thats not to say that your preference will be the same because its all about comfort and just about all drummers have a certain way they do things so if you can find a drum store that isn't filled with jerkoff jazz fusion drummers that never let you touch a drumset then try AXIS out.
On a different note I just bought a house and I am in the process of soundproofing my garage. This is going to be a rehearsal space to end all rehearsal places. I am so stoked!!!!! I told my girlfriend she can do whatever to the house but she is not even touching the garage nor will she be able to use it. Mind you I am like the rest of ya guys. I have no head trips about being famous nor would I want to be. I would though on one hand like to be able to play out more and go to different venues to play. I don't know, I am just so excited about getting my drums back from my parents house. I have had them there for about 2 years now while I live in some crappy little apartment so this is just what the doctor ordered!!! It already has a fridge in there and an air conditioner and is almost acoustically perfect for jamming. So there is going to be many jam sessions and drunken nights in the spot. Woohooo!!!

Heya T welcome back :headbang:

Having a house rules, Me and the wife can turn up the amps and not have to worry about the neighbors as long as we dont play late at night. Now if I can only get her to learn some Satyricon............

My old got signed to Torrid / Epic records ( they released the first Exodus album) but they went bankrupt before it was released. :erk: So it got put out on a smally indie label. I think the greatest thing about playing was be able to jam and party with some cool bands, famous and not.
