It's meant to be a joke, it's just some guy in the 1950's or something made a language that was to become the universal language one day (according to him and his followers). So my friend was trying to figure out what the language was and knew it only began with an "E" so I responded. "You dumb prick, it's English, and it was made long before the 1900's you know!" And yeah.... I'll shut up.

Thanks! I actually wanted to research it.. I'm very into learning about everything and anything interesting... being a speed-reader and comprehend most anything written (in English) despite how verbose it can get helps me alot.

English is the most complex and versatile language. An amount of expression otherwise unavailable in any other language can be found in English. Not to say the other languages are less, but...you know. I plan on fully learning Irish gaelic actually...
