Wow.. I was always under the impression that he was getting better. Reading about his (And other peoples) sickness/death kind of scares the shit out of me...

still no word on this, but they DID just announce that FFXIII would be released on Xbox 360 in addition to PS3. I suppose that might register on someone's "things to care about" scale...

But probably not

Nope, not on mine. FFXII was the reason why I bought a PS2 and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I think it may have been the most uninspired game in the series. Yes, I have played them all. Many multiple times. Discovering God of War made up for that big time, though!

I couldn't disagree more. FF12 was excellent. 10 is still the best in my opinion, but not to start that debate again... news about 13 will have no effect on me unless the price of a PS3 or 360 rivals that of a PS2, or it is released on PC, which will not happen. I still want to play it, but I won't shell out hundreds for it. I need that money for real things.

^same here. When XIII and versus XIII come out, or soon thereafter, I'll actually take a look at getting a PS3, but if it hasn't dropped another $100 (or preferably more)by then I wont have any problem waiting a bit longer.

Agreed. Except for a few games on the 360, all the games that appeal to me are released for the PC anyway.

It's my last day of work today at this job. Not really sure what I'm going to do after this, but for some reason I'm really not tripping balls over the fact that I have no source of income for the time being. I'm looking forward to taking a day or two off before seriously looking too haha.

But it's kind of cool. One of my co-workers, seeing my Arnold Palmermid at my desk, bought me a shoebox full of Arnold Palmers (six of 'em... about a day's supply for me! HAHA! No seriously though...) so that was really nice. I kind of wish she hadn't though because I was looking forward to just leaving and being like "yeah! fuck that place!" but now it's kind of like huh... there were some really awesome people here.

Anyway, that's enough of my rantings. but WOO!!! 5 day weekend... at least!!!!

Everything seemed to be there in FFIX, but for some reason I had to force myself to finish it. FFX was excellent, though. I play through it every couple of months. I seemed to have developed a very short attention span these last few years when it comes to video games. Which is definitely a good thing because I have been reading a lot more.

Even if Xbox 360s and PS3s came down I would still be hesitant to buy one. The games are still going to be expensive and even for the few good games I would want to play, it's just not worth it when I could buy new instruments.

Speaking of jobs, I have a problem here that hopefully someone with experience can help me with. So here it is:

I applied for 2 jobs, both at park districts, and both virtually identical in nature. I got interviewed for both jobs and just today found out I got one of them via voice mail(didn't actually talk to her in person.) Well, I had my interview for the other job yesterday and I really want to wait and see if they offer me a job, too. So, how do I go about waiting a few days to see what happens without completely losing out on the other job I've already been offered? Would it be rude to ask for a few days to think about it? I feel pretty lucky to have gotten it and I don't wanna blow it but at the same time I'm still curious about the other one.

Please help.

Have you ever thought about teaching bass around where you live? My old guitar teacher made an absolute killing off it. You'll have to deal with kids, though. I personally hate the little bastards, but if you choose the right area (And if there is a high enough demand) You could make a lot and not be miserable in an office cubicle.

I think asking for a few days is normal. A few weeks... would be a stretch.

I know nothing of theory, technique, any of that. I just play. Lessons would be so ridiculously useless from me

speaking of jobs too, i have an interview with GIRLFRIEND magazine on friday haha! i still have my current job, but ive started applying for others. This one I found through my best friend who works for the magazine company that handles all those. I'm not expecting to get the job coz they've had alot of applicants, but I'm pretty qualified for it and my friend knows the people who are interviewing me, so my chances are no worse than anyone elses that's for sure. plus because im already a coordinator and the job is for an 'advertising coordinator', nay reckons they're definately curious about me. i might have to start talking, like, really cool soon you know? totally!

Tie up the process with negotiations.

Call her back and ask some questions for clarity. Ask your own questions in return. And then tell her you would like to take a couple of days to think it over. By then, perhaps you would have heard back from the other job.
