I just came across some old videos/interviews of L Ron Hubbard... Tomorrow I will be taking a trip to Half Price books and trading in Mission Earth and Battlefield Earth. To say he scares the shit out of me is an understatement.

Supposedly, Dianetics is his best work of fiction.

I don't know if 'asshole' is the word best fit to describe him. He was addicted to so many drugs, openly expressed ignorant racism and was caught on a boat with young children.

Yeah, I knew that for a while. She is really open in interviews about it. Billy Sheehan is also a Scientologist.

I have always wondered how exactly people buy, or better yet pay, into things like that, that are obviously fake. I mean, the guy who invented it was quoted as saying "Religion, that's where the money's at" on many occasions. Not to mention he lived on boat with young children. *Sigh*
