That made me sick when i saw that the Accolades were not on there.
I told my other friends that wanted to come to the concert about that and now they are not coming.....
o well...

Well this poll is NOT going to decide the setlist, it's merely to let the band know what everyone wants to hear so that they can take that into consideration when they put together the setlist. So nothing is certain yet, & frankly it'd be stupid not to go to the show because of this.

Just curious, did you tell the band that many hardcore fans want the Accolades??? and that there were many people that wanted them??? Cause almost everyone here voted for the Accolades....

"Everyone here" (maybe, what, 2 dozen replies at best?) pales in comparison with the almost 500 replies on MySpace, though. Obviously the band will be aware that the Accolades were often requested, though, yes.

clearly they aren't real fans, and should therefore have nothing to do with he setlist polls. hmm, they aren't openning with oculus ex inferni.... i'm not going:goggly:

But jax, those 24 people are the bands TRUE fans!!!

Also, just wanted to point out i don't believe i put the accolades on my list... i've seen them live and it's cool, but i don't think it works very well live. Not saying i'm against them playing it, but there are better "rarities" to bring to the stage for a live performance. Just my opinion. But yeah, point is not "everyone" called for them.

The only thing i dont want, is when i see them, to hear only Sins and Shadows, Inferno, Set the world on fire, Domination, Serpents Kiss, Sea of Lies, Fallen etc etc
While those are all good songs, they have much better and MUCH more epic songs that the true fans would like more(Divine wings, Accolades, Rediscovery, etc etc)
Not just the head banging songs....

The poll results are unfortunate and predictable. The SX fans who are quite happy just to repeatedly see Inferno, Evolution, Of Sins and Shadows, etc. are sadly the majority at this point.

I'm holding out hope that at least 1 or 2 previously unperformed songs get incorporated into the next tour.

I'd be fucking happy if all I got to see them play was a fucking polka, cause it'd mean that they'd come to australia. You people bitching about what you want to see... at least you fucking get to see them at all.

+1 on all the above. They've got a signifigant discography. Use it! :D
(I mean that in the nicest possible way)

Yeah, I understand that. We went through it here when they didn't even do live shows in their own country. I didn't even vote or submit anything. Happy to see them play, but as I mentioned above, they have a decent recorded history, and it'd be cool to see some of the older stuff make it to a setlist...

I think a lot of people who are bitching about the poll results also lose sight of the fact that they were never going to revamp the ENTIRE setlist, if at all. I think honestly that one rare/unperformed song on the set will be something we'd be lucky to get.

And once again, the Aussies point out how selfish and spoiled we've become (and i'm not being a dick with that statement). I missed them on the first leg of the PL tour, so i'm itchin' to see them again.

Precisely. Romeo simply wanted to know which songs the fans want to hear most, so they can take that into account when planning the setlist for the upcoming tours. How much they change is up to them, but they are well aware by now that they'll never be able to make everyone happy; there are always going to be people who'd bitch if they were hung with a new rope.

I was surprised to see that there were no votes for Walls of Babylon, which is, in my opinion, also one of the best songs on the new album.

Every song in their discography got at least one vote; I just listed the top 5 from each cd here, is all. Walls of Babylon was the #7 most requested song on PL, for the record.

By the way Jax, i don't think anyone has said Thanks for taking the huge amounts of time to count this stuff up. Too bad that people bitch when really this is a huge thing for the fans. It's cool to see bands take an interest like this in what the fans want knowing full well there's no way to please everybody.

Cheers
