Oh yeah...the Red Wings are going to round 2!
Was especially nice to see Franzen score the winner in Double OT, after taking a nasty slash the previous game.

I like the Wings this year, but I see the Sharks beating them in 6 or less. I think the Cup is going to spend the summer in warm California in either San Jose or Anaheim.

Yeah, the Sharks are scaring me.
They have a great defense and they seem relatively calm, especially for a 'big' team. ALL of their players are 6' 0" or taller! I kind of expected them to be more physical but so far they've proved they don't have to be.

Yeah, they are a huge team. And, they're a fast team as well, despite their size. They can beat you in so many ways (as my poor LA Kings found out repeatedly this year).

And, I love watching Thornton play. I've been a fan of his since his days in junior hockey playing for my hometown team. I'm still in shock that the Bruins traded him for a bunch of spare parts and a bag of old hockey pucks. That had to be the most one-sided trade in history.

LA Kings????
You're not a Canadian's team fan??
You need to be proud of a team of your country.

For me it's the Habs all the way.
And for those playoff, i'm with Ottawa, even if i dont like them and i dont think they can beat Buffalo.
Stanley cup final will be Buffalo vs. San Jose

Considering the NHL is 70% Canadian players, I have no guilt over picking an American-based team. My two favourite players of all time played for the Kings, so why not cheer for them?

I've tried liking Canadian teams, with the exception of the Leafs. Hated the Habs since the '93 Finals. Tried liking the Sens, but just can't get into them. Too many years of playoff choking. I can't stand teams who fold when the going gets tough. Used to like Edmonton (therefore Calgary sucks), but followed Gretzky when he was traded (and I was just a young'un). Vancouver does nothing for me. Never had players I particularly liked until this season.

I don't think I'll tell you the other team I like.

Seeing LA Kings made me :puke:

Not a good year :zombie:

I know. It hurt watching them this year. They are, however, going to be a good team within a couple years. With guys like Frolov, Kopitar, Cammellari, Brown, O'Sullivan, Tukonen, Visnovsky, and Johnson all under the age of 25, they're going to just get better.

There are rumours about them going after Stuart, Drury, Briere and Gomez this year. If they get one or two of them, they're going get better real fast. The key this year for them is a number one goalie. Cloutier was a complete and total disaster for them.

Oh lord, if the Sharks lose to my Wings, they have themselves to blame. Heck, they should have swept this series.

That said, I would love to be a homer and say the Wings winning it all was a guarantee but if they don't win against San Jose, you can bet I would root for San Jose vs Anaheim as I HATE the ducks.:puke:
