I'm with lurch, if you want to cheat, look at the reasons why... and maybe the relationship should end? Might be tough, but it's better than hurting your wife.husband/whoever like that. I would not want them to do that to me (though I think I'd get over it and acknowledge the reasons it happened, since I truly believe she would not do such a thing otherwise). Whatever, if it ever comes up, I deal with it then. Until then, I'm willing to trust her.

because shit like that almost always comes up to the surface somehow. even if it is 8 years later, imagine knowing that you spent X years of your life with her, with her knowing it, and you not. it's the kind of thing that drives a man to fucking murder.

If it was 8 years later I can guarantee I'd be more pissed off about knowing than her actually doing it. I can look beyond someone cheating on me if I truly love them, or at the very least can attempt to look beyond it. People make mistakes.

I'm talking about some drunken accident type situation, not something like if she comes to me saying she's been seeing some other dude once a week for 4 years. That's probably a different story.
