OLD FART THREAD

The ever-increasing number of iPooP and the tragicly subterranean, socially-accepted (d)evoltion towards the emofag style are things to whine about if not rebel against. They go hand in hand. Anyone prove me wrong :loco:

I've been digitalizing cassettes for some relatives lately... over 50 relatives... the stuff they do with their computer is pretty cool actually. Especially when you think of their age.

recently trying to hunt down some complete NES games just because i have not been satisfied with all of this next-gen gaming stuff. too much focus on the graphics instead of the overall feeling that it gives you. i got : kirby's adventure, mario 3, final fantasy, castlevania i-iii, and bomberman. a pretty good spread if you ask me. i remember playing this shit back in the day, and i remember that it was cheap. complete copy of final fantasy iii today? $100 for one in good shape. my lord!

it is pretty damn cool to own a complete Mario 3 and FF, though.

also- castlevania is the greatest video game series ever. bloodlines is an especially rad game

Emulators are your friend.

Because lets face it, the NES's hardware was shoddy at best.

"Yeah! Let's fight the machine for an hour to get the game to turn on just right!"

lube up the contacts with a steady stream of air and spittle!

But I agree with moose, you can download "every NES game ever" in about 2 hours with emulator... meaning "saved games". If you're going from the completionist aspect of owning those classics [again?], then its going to cost a lot.

A friend of mine did the same, had some luck at antique shops, pawn shops and used game stores... but ending up spending $50-100 per game.

: kirby's adventure, mario 3, final fantasy, castlevania i-iii, and bomberman.

Those are all amazing games.
