Old Movies/Animated Films Soundtracks

the movie is what makes that soundtrack special. much like most morricone films. so basically youre retarded.

The problem is that i don't give a shit about the movie's storyline and i happen to enjoy the music, so it is all subjective and it proves how much of a brilliant faggot you are.

it has an excellent soundtrack. mansell has composed some great pieces for the movie and kronos quartet performs them beautifully. probably everyone has at some time heard the main theme from the soundtrack.
the movie is great too. but it is pretty recent.

as far as animated films go, i always loved the soundtrack to the hobbit... too bad an actual soundtrack doesnt exist afaict.

My favourite movie soundtrack is Cinema Paradiso by Enio Morricone, even though i never watched the movie, and i'm not really planning on watching it.

The movie's really good, you should watch it. But I agree that the two main themes from that definitely stand on their own. Pat Metheny did great versions of both of them on his album "Beyond the Missouri Sky." Didn't JOSH GROBAN or someone similar do a version of the love theme with words added? :erk:

lol, at me being the faggot when you refuse to watch the film which helped put foreign films in a broad legitimacy instead of a bergman/fellini stereotype simply because you like the recurring themes in that soundtrack he used many times before. moron

incorrect. it does. however only on vinyl, a small pressing in the late 70s exists of it. however i have all the tracks to both that, AND the return of the king sequel animated film soundtracks on MP3. if you want them.

It does reflect on you negatively due to your lack of coherence...it hardly makes me a retard. If you care so much about the emotional value of the soundtrack and how much it makes you shed tears because of its kvlt status... well it is your own weird faggoty psychosis, don't blame me for enjoying good music, quit bitching

lol @ having to watch a movie to enjoy it's soundtrack fully. absolute bullshit.

Classic example for me is "The Last Temptation of Christ" by Peter Gabriel. Only ever seen the beginning... but the soundtrack is great!

a soundtrack is intended as the backdrop to the movie. It can stand on its own as being good, but you're only getting part of the picture. It would be like listening to opeth after taking all the vocals out, sure it would still be great but it would be repetitive and lacking thanks to the focus of the music being gone.

That said there are some cases of soundtracks being inappropriate to the movie but excellent on their own, usually when written by non-film composers though (ex Pat Metheny's soundtrack to A Map of the World).

Yeah, and anyone who thinks like that is an absurd 'tard.
For example, The Village is an awful movie, But the original soundtrack is brilliant.
