i do not understand all this original trilogy nostalgia nonsense...if you want to see the falcon so bad why don't you just go watch ep IV-VI instead of waiting for ep VII? otherwise you are just gearing yourself for disappointment like what happened with the latest indiana jones movie.

Why do the originals being great and the new Abrams ones being great have to be mutually exclusive? People seem so down on it just because Lucas butchered the prequels, but he's had virtually no involvement with the new ones. The plethora of great Star Wars books and video games (KOTOR, Jedi Knight, Heir to the Empire) should be enough to prove that you can still write an incredibly engaging story in the universe that's fun in its own right.

People are aware that Disney also owns Marvel, right? Marvel's movies seem to be doing just fine, so I don't understand everyone acting like Disney owning Lucasfilm will "Disney-fy" it or whatever.
